Balance Beautifully

I don’t know about you all, but this has been one of the least productive writing months for me in a while. And it's been kind of discouraging. Make that really discouraging. You know, this whole year has been pretty discouraging as a whole. Because things have been out of balance, like a person struggling to walk across tightrope with a stick weighted at each end. There has been so much negative that the positive goes up in the air, and some people have made too much of an effort to make the positive more heavier then the negative and pitch over the side of the rope. I just want to remind everyone and anyone who sees this who you are and Whose you are, and how the ultimate Balancer can help:
You are not a failure. You are flawless because of the cross.
You are not “less then”. You are good in the eyes of God.
You are not overwhelmed. You are able to do all things through Christ.
You are not a subject to the government. You are serving the One True King.
You are not a follower. You are a Warrior for Jesus.
You are not an heir to lies and deceit. You are heir of the One True King.
These all speak to me personally, but I encourage you to speak the truth to yourself as you need it. I am not going to never finish my writing project. I am going to in Jesus’ Name. I am not going to never make friends. I am going to in Jesus’ Name. The pandemic will not never end. It will in Jesus; Name. Don’t forget who’s at the center. We all know where we would be or have been if we don’t wholly and completely trust in Him. If you don’t, well, there’s a reason for the saying “Pride comes before the fall.” Believe me, I've been there.
Here’s what it comes down to: We have a choice, one we’re familiar with making. We can either rely on and trust in God to fulfill these promises and truths I’ve stated, or we can say “I’ve got this” and our writing and everything reflects that. I’ve got a gift, and you’ve got a gift, that’s why we’re here, learning how to cultivate it and use it. But that gift comes from God, and we need to glorify Him for that. So it’s finding balance between knowing what the truth of our gifts are, and giving Him the glory.
Balance is what’s going to get me through this year successfully. Because in all honesty, things have been out of balance for me. I’ve spent too much time on one thing and neglected another important part. I need to find the balance I’ve talked about up there, and I believe it’s getting there with the grace of God. Because His grace is the reason I have this gift, why I’m even here writing this now, and it’s why He’s helping me through it. And you through it. These same things He’s working on me, He’s working on with you.
So don’t be discouraged by any lies thrown at you today, or anything about this new year. Take heart, and know who you are and Whose you are, and balance beautifully:)
